Even if I knew what code was needed to get a particular book, it wouldn’t let me get it until the game asked me. The same goes for a section where you have to click on different blue folders to find a code. The game won’t let you do that until you find the first clue. In fact, I thought I had failed and would do it again. Then I realized what was happening. But the cursor becomes the “pick up item” hand, so it looked like I could pick it up, but the game wouldn’t let me. So I’m a bit clumsy with what was going on, I admit.
While there were a few repurposed puzzle themes, they looked different enough from the first game that even though I played them back to back, they looked different enough not to be boring. I especially liked this little mini-game of mixing drinks in a flashback scene.
